A DevOps Organization is a software company (or organization) that subscribes to the three principles of DevOps:
That means, among other things:
- Work in Value Streams is visible and understood, with WIP being minimized
- Problems in the process are detected and mitigated fast and lasting
- Members are encouraged to learn, learning breeds innovation, innovation is welcomed and integrated
- Teams in the organization are not siloed, as they were in “classic” structures (i.e. no “Operations Team” that is entirely separated from “Developer Team” that is entirely separated from “Marketing Team” etc)
